The Fifth Annual Reproductive Equity Awards held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 were a huge success! The event was held at a new location, Mercury Hall in South Austin, and proved to be a wonderful evening.
This year, the Lilith Fund was proud to add Representative Jessica Farrar
to the list of Reproductive Equity Award recipients. In a climate that
is often hostile, Representative Farrar has fought for reproductive
freedom in the Texas Legislature since 1994. In addition, she has shown
her deep commitment to women by founding the Women’s Health Caucus and
the Texas Women’s Health Foundation.
